5:00 pm .- I walked out of my house and immediately realized that it was cold. Way colder than I expected which made me really happy since it means winter is coming soon, and I love winter, the snow and the Christmas lights.

5:02.- I start thinking of what I want for Christmas. Last year we did not have any gifts, and the year previous to that I asked for stuff I didn’t need. Now I am a college student and an adult so I got to ask for something that I really do need, such as money.

5:05.- As the wind hits my skin I immediately regret my decision of clothes and wish I had worn a sweater.

5:07 pm .- I realize that people are walking past me and everyone is smiling and saying hi. This is my first time walking on my own neighborhood so I have never seen this people before.

5:13 pm. I saw a mini picnic table attached to someone’s fence and a chipmunk eating on it. When it tried to take a picture it ran away.

5:15 pm.- At this point I am not paying attention at all. I am lost in my own mind wondering what I want to eat later. This is typical for me I always make plans and solve my own personal problems during walks.

5:20 pm .- Saw a Portillo’s fry holder on the floor which made me crave Portillo’s even though I barely like anything from there but the fries.

5:25 pm .- Saw a really weird decorated house. Is it really weird? Is it Scary? Am I just the grinch of halloween? I do not know but I definitely am disgusted.

5:32.- I saw an old tv outside of someone’s house. It made me feel nostalgic, it reminded me of when I was little and every night my family would get together to watch the news before bed and I would always just fall asleep in the couch and get carried to bed.

5:40 pm .- Saw childhood jumping game (I actually don’t know if this is the name) but it made me feel so nostalgic. So many memories of my childhood in Mexico in which we could play until 1 am and no one would say anything because it really was safe. Now it is barely 5 and everyone has to go inside because of how dangerous it is.

5:47 .- Saw a treehouse. It wasn’t inside anyone’s backyard so I am confused as to who it belongs to. Regardless I remember I always wanted one as little and was never able to have one because the biggest tree in my house was still not big enough.

5:53.- There is a very unpleasant smell in the air. I hate it. I feel disturbed and it makes me not want to walk anymore. I am almost a 100 percent sure that someone is burning their trash.

6:12.- Saw some white asters. (Identified by Inaturalist). I remember when I was little and wanted to get a flower bouquet with white asters. I would have to pay extra for them but they’re just there on the ground so I find it quite ironic

6:17.- My dog Wilson got tired and refused to get up the ground so I decided to rest as well. As I am walking across the park to get to the bleachers I see trash in the ground.

6:30 .- I realized almost every stop sign there was some type of trash on the floor. This made me feel really weird because so many trash cans out in the street and yet no one can hold their trash for just a few more seconds until the next trash can.

6:36 .- Sun started to set. At this point I started walking really fast. I did not want to out in the dark for too long, I don’t know the neighborhood well so I do not want to risk it.

6:43.- I walked by a house that had halloween decorations, giant clowns and a giant skull. By this time it was dark and all I could think about was the time that I went trick or treating in Mexico and realized my biggest fear is clowns.

6:52.- Down the road I saw another house. With two giants skulls, their eyes were shiny, music was playing and the light were dancing with the music.

6: 53.- On my way back I see, pink canna lilies, I know they are canna lilies because I am able to identify them with Inaturalist. I am surprised since I have never seen pink ones, only red.

Drawing of girl made with chalk
I dont really like halloween.

I decided to make a collage with the trash I saw in the ground because I was really surprised by how nasty people are.
